The markets are now still trading lower. The Realty, Bankng, Capital Goods and Power stocks are the most hitted today. However, the IT and Pharma stocks are trading in green. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap stocks are also trading lower. The BSE Sensex is now hovering around the 14800 mark and the NSE Nifty above the 4400 mark.
The overall market breadth is negative as 838 stocks are advancing while 1722 stocks are declining in BSE.
Infosys Technologies reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (4.07%) at Rs.1,691.40 while DLF reported the top loser down by (7.40%) at Rs.508.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,822.69 down by 270.43 points and Nifty is at 4,457.55 down by 71.50 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 65.59 points to 5,863.78 and the BSE Small Cap slipped by 71 points to 7,158.77.
The BSE IT index is the top performer today trading with a gain of 105.13 points at 3,919.09. The main gainers are Mphasis up by (4.09%) at Rs.223.75, HCL Technologies increased by (2.24%) at Rs.235 followed by Satyam Computer and I-Flex inclined by (1.92%) and (1.53%) to Rs.414.05 and Rs.1,343.50 respectively.
The most active shares on NSE are Reliance Industries trading at Rs.2,309.25 with a total traded quantity of 1630000 shares followed by ICICI Bank trading at Rs.685.70 with a total traded quantity of 5261708 shares.
