The markets are still trading higher as good amount of buying is seen in the Banking, Realty, Metal and Oil & Gas stocks. However, the FMCG index has given up their early gains and slipped into the negative territory. The BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty both are is trading with a gain of more than 3%.
Tata Power reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (8.59%) at Rs.1,132.90 while NTPC reported the top loser down by (8.20%) at Rs.170.25.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,302.13 up by 510.59 points and Nifty is at 4,316.30 up by 126.45 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is higher by 101.11 points to 5,589.86 and the Small Cap advanced by 104.93 points to 6,935.95.
The BSE Bank index is the one of the top gainer today trading with a gain of 305.55 points at 6,505.15. The main gainers are ICICI Bank up by (5.08%) at Rs.638.55, HDFC Bank increased by (5.04%) at Rs.1081.20 followed by SBI and PNB inclined by (4.50%) and (3.31%) to Rs.1,378 and Rs.467 respectively.
The most active shares on NSE are L&T trading at Rs.2600 with a total traded quantity of 2177167 shares followed by ICICI Bank trading at Rs.638.90 with a total traded quantity of 5079063 shares.
