Market is trading with a deep cut and shows no sign of recovery due to heavy selling pressures across the sectoral indices. The market tumbles since the initial bell tracking the unfavoring cues from the global markets like the surging of global crude oil prices nearly to $140 a barrel. The investors are taking cautious approach ahead of the inflation numbers that is yet to come. The market breadth is extremely weak as 1870 stocks are trading in red while 352 stocks are trading in green. Among the Sensex pack, all the 30 stocks are trading on the backfoot.
At 11.32AM, BSE Sensex is trading lower by 627.78 points at 13,794.04 and NSE Nifty is trading down by 179.05 at 4,136.80. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap are trading lower by 189.74 points and 185.66 points at 5,552.30 and 6,943.42 respectively.
Losers from the BSE are Phoenix Mill trading lower by 11.81% at Rs166.15 in line with Hindustan Construction by 11.60% at Rs85.75, M&M by 7.72% at Rs510, Tata Chemicals by 7.29% at Rs293.05, Max India by 7.13% at Rs153, Indiabull Real by 7.01% at Rs299, GMR Infra by 6.94% at Rs89.20.
The Metal index is trading lower by 456.06 points at 13,467.35. Pulling it are Nalco trading down by 6.19% at Rs346.80 along with JSW Steel by 5.22% at Rs978, Jindal Stainless by 4.97% at Rs123.25, Gujarat NRE Coke by 4.63% at Rs127.75, SAIL by 4.63% at Rs147.35, Sterlite industries by 4.39% at Rs693.30 and Ispat industries by 3.84% at Rs23.80.
The Oil and Gas index is trading down by 308.26 points at 9,369.12. Losers are BPCL trading lower by 5.35% at Rs255 in line with IOCL by 5.12% at Rs336.10, Gail India by 4.89% at Rs345.60, RNRL by 4.23% at Rs72.40, Reliance industries by 3.71% at Rs2156.10, Aban Offshore by 3.26% at Rs3020 and Essar Oil by 2.85% at Rs203.15.
The Capital Goods index is trading lower by 481.92 points at 10,405.31. Adding to this fall are Havells India trading down by 6.07% at Rs349 followed by L&T by 5.76% at Rs2223, Punj Lloyd by 4.91% at Rs222.50, Kir Oil Eng by 4.79% at Rs88.50, Bhel by 4.54% at Rs1372, Beml by 4.12% at Rs793.05, Jyoti Structures by 3.24% at Rs116.50.
