The Market Today Open Flat With The BSE Sensex Open - june 30,2008

The market today open flat with the BSE Sensex open below the 13800 mark while the NSE Nifty managed to open above the 4100 mark. The buying support is seen in the Metal, IT, Oil & Gas and Pharma stocks. However, the Realty, Bank, Auto and FMCG stocks are in pressure in the opening trade.

The overall market breadth is negative as 759 stocks are advancing whereas 896 stocks are declining on BSE.

Satyam Computer reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack, as it is trading with a gain of (2.49%) at Rs.450.75 while Tata Motors the top loser down by (3.14%) at Rs.430.15.

At 10.30AM, the BSE Sensex was down by 39.37 points at 13,762.85 and the Nifty was down by 9.10 points to 4,145.75.

The BSE Mid Cap decreased by 6.07 points to 5,552.68 and the BSE Small Cap slipped by 3.37 points to 6,934.70.

BSE Realty index dropped by 63.55 points to trade at 4,811.70. The major losers are Mahindralife, Purvankara, Unitech and Indiabull Real fell by (3.18%), (3.15%), (3.09%) and (2.88%) to Rs.432, Rs.164.70, Rs.177.15 and Rs.288.05 respectively.

BSE IT index improved by 61.64 points to trade at 4,066.39. The top gainers are I-Flex increased by (5.19%) to Rs.1,452.50, Satyam Computer increased by (2.33%) to Rs.450.05, Wipro inclined by (1.71%) to Rs450.15 followed by TCS up by (1.36%) to Rs.877.

ABB is trading lower by (1.96%) at Rs.848. The company has won a $233-million contract from Hyundai Engineering and Construction (HDEC) of Korea to supply power systems and grid connections for a natural gas and steam turbine (combined-cycle) power plant, to be built in Qatar.
