Developed nations'' markets reacted negatively of FED''s latest efforts to stem the US recession are too expensive prompting investors to book profits from recent rallies. On a stock specific move, board members of Satyam computers services are meeting today in Hyderabad for evaluating takeover bids from potential bidders along with assessment of the company''s actual financial position based on inputs from newly-appointed audit firms KPMG and Deloitte. During the last hour, the selling pressure has emerged in Realty and Banking stocks, whereas buying interest is seen across Metal counter. Among the sectoral indices, the BSE Realty and Bankex indices are down by 5.79% and 2.09% respectively, while Metal index surged by 1.28% respectively. Overall the market breadth is negative as 891 stocks are trading in red while 772 stocks are in green.
At 11.30 AM, the BSE Sensex down by 69.9 points at 8,931.84 whereas NSE Nifty declined by 13 points at 2,794.15. The BSE Mid Cap is trading lower by 10.34 points to 2,763.77 whereas Small Cap is marginally up by 6.32 points to 3,103.85 respectively.
