Samathanam said Chandrayaan-1 success has put India in elite lunar club that comprising of Russia as well as US, Japan, China and European Space Agency. On the top of this he stated that India would land on the moon by 2025, considering the potential in science and technology. However, in the 11th five-year plan Rs 1.25 lakh crore have been allocated. Apart from this, he said the biggest concern today was that how this huge allocation would become functional and mission oriented investment.
