Continuing its positive beginning, the benchmark indices are trading with a strong positive bias on account of fresh buying from foreign funds and taking cues from positive sentiments across the Asian markets. The sentiments were largely buoyed by a better than expected beginning of earnings session after India’s second largest IT giant Infosys Technologies came out with impressive 3Q result. On sectoral front, IT, Metal and TECk stocks are trading up by 4.27%, 3.90% and 3.57% respectively with heavy buying pressure. The market breadth is positive as 1131 stocks are trading in green while 607 stocks are in red.
At 11.30 AM, the BSE Sensex surged by 273.44 points at 9,344.8 whereas NSE Nifty higher by 75.5 points at 2,820.45. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap are trading higher by 50.24 points and 43.65 points at 3,056.66 and 3,486.01 respectively.
Gainers from the BSE Sensex Pack are Sterlite Industries up by (5.63%) to Rs.277.55, along with Tata Steel by (5.50%) to Rs.214, Reliance Industries by (5.33%) at Rs.1138.5, TCS by (5.22%) at Rs.550.1, Reliance Infrastructure by (5.01%) at Rs.500 and ICICI Bank Ltd by (4.96%) at Rs.447.4.
Gainers from the NSE Nifty Pack are HCL Technologies by (8.13%) at Rs.117.7 along with Siemens Ltd by (7.51%) at Rs.225.45, SAIL by (6.34%) at Rs.78, Sterlite Industries by (5.99%) at Rs.277.8 and Reliance Industries by (5.61%) at Rs.1138.05.
BSE IT is trading higher by (4.27%) or 91.72 points at 2,239.41. The major gainers are HCL Technologies higher by (8.38%) at Rs.117.70, along with TCS Ltd by (4.93%) at Rs.548.60, Infosys Technologies by (4.54%) at Rs.1286, NIIT Ltd by (3.67%) at Rs.24, followed by Oracle Finance by (3.56%) to Rs.470.
