After trading in positive zone for the last few sessions, the investors have decided to book some profit that has caused the benchmark indices to slid into negative Territory. Doom and gloom returned to the global market as economic worries hounds Asian stocks and fears of more negative quarterly results creeping in. The bankruptcy of two more banks and automakers General Motors has dashed the sentiments in the global market.
Crude Oil falls more than $2 to $60 per barrel as dollar gains. As a result, the Oil & Gas index on BSE is trading lower. The other top indices trading in red are Capital Goods, Bankex, Metal and IT. The market breath is favoring decline, as 1291 stocks are trading in red and about 725 stocks in green on the broader BSE.
At 11.35 AM, the BSE Sensex lost 513 points at 10023 whereas NSE Nifty down by 137 points at 3010. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap are losing by 69 points and 56 points at 3405 and 3931 respectively.
Losers from the NSE Nifty Pack are Cairn India down by (8.87%) at Rs.145.30 along with Sterlite Ind by (7.92%) at Rs.257.50, Hindalco Ind by (7.55%) at Rs.61.85, Tata Motors by (6.48%) at Rs.159.45, and BHEL by (6.40%) at Rs.1418.90.
Losers from the BSE Sensex Pack are Sterlite ind down by (7.95%) at Rs.257.00 along with Jaiprakash Asso by (7.60%) at Rs.89.30, Hindalco Ind by (7.49%) at Rs.61.80, Tata Motors by (6.65%) at Rs.158.50, and BHEL by (6.34%) at Rs.1416.75.
BSE Capital Goods is trading lower by 369.95 points at 7,748.48. The top losers in the index are Punj Lloyd decreased by (7.10%) to Rs.198.15, Crompton Greaves down by (5.49%) to Rs.173.00, Suzlon Energy by (5.44%) to Rs.65.20, BHEL by (5.43%) at Rs.1,430.50, followed by ABB ltd by (5.37%) to Rs.514.00.
