The markets after made a sharp turn around from the day’s low is now trading higher as some buying emerged in the Banking, Auto, Realty and Power stocks. The positive cues from the European market also added to the market sentiments. The BSE Sensex is now trading above the 14800 mark and the NSE Nifty is trading above the 4450 mark. The BSE Mid Cap and the Bse Small cap both are trading with a gain of more than 1% each.
HDFC Bank reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (6.04%) at Rs.1,175.65 while Sterlite Industries reported the top loser down by (6.24%) at Rs.585.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 14,844.05 up by 266.18 points and Nifty is at 4,476.15 up by 80.80 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is higher by 86.20 points to 5,828.93 and the Small Cap advanced by 79.35 points to 7,182.70.
The BSE Bank index is the one of the top gainer today trading with a gain of 337.96 points at 7,105.57. The main gainers are ICICI Bank up by (6.91%) at Rs.684.70, HDFC Bank increased by (6.61%) at Rs.1,182 followed by SBI and PNB inclined by (3.93%) and (3.41%) to Rs.1,569.90 and Rs.508.50 respectively.
The most active shares on NSE are Reliance Industries trading at Rs.2,276 with a total traded quantity of 3701524 shares followed by ICICI Bank trading at Rs.675.90 with a total traded quantity of 9657751 shares.
