The market is trading up on selective buying over the ground. Indian market opened with marginal losses backed by weak global cues and soon turned volatile. Further it recovered from earlier losses and trading in positive territory. Metal, Bank, Consumer Durables, Reality and IT stocks are in favor as most of the buying is seen from these baskets. However, only Oil & Gas stock is out of favor. The market breadth is positive as 1685 stocks are trading in green while 566 stocks are trading in red.
At 11:32 AM the BSE Sensex is trading higher by 50.05 points at 14,706.74 and NSE Nifty is trading up by 13.55 points at 4,427.10. The BSE Mid Cap is trading higher by 100.72 points at 5,743.47 and BSE Small Cap is trading up by 125.03 points 7,105.14 respectively.
Gainers from the NSE are HCL Tech trading higher by (5.60%) at Rs218.85in line with Nalco by (3.22%) at Rs439.00, Suzlon Energy by (3.08%) at Rs246.15, Siemens Ltd by (3.05%) at Rs592.70, Unkitech ltd by (2.48%) at Rs173.70 and ACC Ltd by (2.44%) at Rs591.50.
The BSE Metal index is trading up by 133.79 points at 13,384.10. Scrips that are trading higher are JSW SL (6.69%) at Rs850.00 followed by NMDC Ltd by (5.00%) at Rs363.35, Ispat Indus by (3.86%) at Rs28.25, Gujarat Nre C by (3.44%) at Rs112.65 and Hindustan Zinc by (3.11%) at Rs606.11.
The BSE Bank index is trading higher by 107.42 points at 6,836.07 as Axis Bank trading up by (3.42%) at Rs703.55 along with IDBI Bank Ltd by (3.30%) at Rs80.50, Indian Overseas Bank (3.25%) at Rs90.45, Bank of Baroda by (2.50%) at Rs282.80 and Indus Ind Bank by (2.48%) at Rs59.90.
