The market today open flat and is trading with marginal gains. The significant buying is seen in the Metal, Power, Capital Goods and Bank stocks. However, the Auto and Realty stocks are trading lower in the opening bell. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap stocks are also trading higher.
The overall market breadth is positive as 1107 stocks are advancing whereas 516 stocks are declining on BSE.
BHEL reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack, as it is trading with a gain of (3.96%) at Rs.1,565.90 while Maruti Suzuki the top loser down by (8.21%) at Rs.595.
At 10.30AM, the BSE Sensex was up by 76.82 points at 13,926.86 and the Nifty was up by 45 points to 4,192.60.
The BSE Mid Cap increased by 71.47 points to 5,328.46 and the BSE Small Cap advanced by 55.29 points to 6,493.27.
BSE Metal index surged by 343.21 points to trade at 12,109.45. The top gainers are SAIL increased by (5.60%) to Rs.132, Sterlite Industries up by (2.92%) to Rs.621, NALCO inclined by (2.73%) to Rs397.05 followed by Tata Steel down by (2.58%) to Rs.614.50.
BSE Capital Goods index inclined by 189.41 points to trade at 11,252.27. The major gainers are BHEL, Siemens, L&T and ABB grew by (3.96%), (1.62%), (1.37%) and (0.38%) to Rs.1,565.90, Rs.492.20, Rs.2,546.35 and Rs.894 respectively.
