Market Opens On A Strong Note

The market today opens higher on the back of positive cues from the global markets. The buying witnessed across the board mainly led by the Realty, Power, Capital Gods and Metal stocks. The broader market is also trading in line with the benchmark index in the opening trade.

The overall market breadth is positive as 1267 stocks are advancing whereas 493 stocks are declining on BSE.

At 10.30AM, the BSE Sensex was up by 90 points at 15,785 and the Nifty was up by 29.85 points to 4,762.85.

The BSE Mid Cap increased by 48 points to 6,527 and the BSE Small Cap advanced by 43 points to 8,074.

Reliance Energy reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading with a gain of 1.75% at Rs.1,275.25 while ITC the top loser declined by 0.53% to Rs.206.85.

BSE Capital Goods index surged by 175.82 points to trade at 13,074.95. The major gainers are BHEL, Siemens, L&T and ABB grew by (0.68%), (0.67%), (0.41%) and (0.27%) to Rs.1,780, Rs.604, Rs.2,699 and Rs.1,102 respectively.

BSE Power index improved by 44.02 points to trade at 3,144.05. The top gainers are Reliance Energy inclined by (2.31%) to Rs.1,283, Tata Power increased by (1.42%) at Rs.1,216 followed by Suzlon Energy up by (0.69%) to Rs.292.
