The market has made a smart recovery from the day’s low as significant buying witnessed in the selective scrips mainly led by the Oil & Gas, FMCG, Consumer Durables and IT stocks. However, the Realty, Bank and Metal stocks are still in pressure. The market is facing a lot of volatility today as its is trading in between the positive and the negative zone. The Mid Cap is still trading lower whereas the Small Cap has shown a good recovery.
The overall market breadth is positive, as 1691 stocks are advancing whereas 854 stocks that are declining.
HUL reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (3.85%) at Rs.237.50 while BHEL the top loser down by (7.13%) at Rs.1,909.90.
At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 15,747.29 up by 102.85 points and Nifty is at 4,779.45 up by 44.95 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is lower by 3.54 points to 6,424.28 while the Small Cap advanced by 51.09 points to 7,892.91.
The BSE Oil & Gas index is the top performer today. It is trading with a gain of 302.50 points at 10,319.32. The main gainers are BPCL up by (4.65%) at Rs.428, RPL increased by (4.49%) at Rs.163 followed by ONGC and Cairn India advanced by (4.28%) and (3.83%) to Rs.1023 and Rs.231 respectively.
The most active shares on NSE are Reliance Capital trading at Rs.1256.65 with a total traded quantity of 3810571 shares followed by Reliance trading at Rs.2345 with a total traded quantity of 1780019 shares.
Dr.Reddy''s lab is trading higher by (0.17%) at Rs.592. The company has entered into a definitive agreement with The Dow Chemical Company to acquire a portion of Dowpharma small molecules business.
