MUMBAI: The benchmark April turmeric futures hit a contract high on Monday due to lower crop estimates and rising demand in the physical market, an analyst said.
At 11:14 a.m. the April contract was trading at Rs 2,878 per 100 kg.
"In 2008 traders are expecting lower output by around 25 per cent and the winter demand is good in the physical market," said Vibhu Ratandhara, an analyst at Bonanza Commodity Brokers Pvt Ltd.
