It's a mixed fare at agri counters

MUMBAI: NCDEX registered a turnover of Rs 2,293 crore on Tuesday. Guar seed closed up at Rs 1,761 per quintal and posted a turnover of Rs 786 crore.

Chana closed down at Rs 2,258 per quintal and recorded a turnover of Rs 212 crore. Jeera closed up at Rs 10,125 per quintal and posted a turnover of Rs 177 crore. Pepper closed down at Rs 12,149 per quintal and posted a turnover of Rs 253 crore. Sugar closed up at Rs 1,335 per quintal.

Soyabean closed down at Rs 1,562 and recorded a turnover of Rs 138 crore. Soya oil closed down at Rs 476 per 10 kg and registered a turnover of Rs 171 crore. Barley again hit the upper circuit with the September contract closing at Rs 1,165.8 per quintal against the previous close of Rs 1,111. It clocked a turnover of Rs 44 crore.

MCX registered a turnover of Rs 3406.96 crore in the first session up to 5 pm, down 2.68% from that in the corresponding session of the previous day. Bullion turnover was Rs 932.12 crore. Gold contracts, including gold mini, fell up to Rs 5 and gained up to 17 per 10 gm. October gold was up 0.18% at Rs 9,290 per 10 gm.

Silver contracts, including silver mini, lost up to Rs 10 and gained up to 45 per kg. December silver was up 0.21% at Rs 17,533 per kg.

In the base metals segment, copper contracts turnover was Rs 773.83 crore with the November delivery contract up 1.52% at Rs 296.65 per kg. Turnover of all zinc contracts was Rs 572.99 crore. Zinc contracts gained between Rs 1.55 and 1.60 per kg. September zinc was up 1.37% at Rs 115.10 per kg. Turnover of all nickel contracts was Rs 129.83 crore.
