KSCDC targets at making profit by 2011

Thiruvananthapuram: The crisis-ridden Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation (KSCDC) expects to begin making profits by 2011 by adopting a series of measures to tone up operations and streamline the marketing efforts. To start with, the corporation has aimed to attain full capacity utilisation in the current year itself and double the turnover to Rs 200 crore from around Rs 100 crore last year. The number of working days are sought to be raised to 300 days from a low of 165 days in 2006-07. It has already developed four new products.
