Markets Further Reason On Gained - July 14, 2009

The markets are witnessing strong buying interest today as strong buying interest continued across the board. Further the positive opening of the European markets has led the markets to gain further momentum. The Realty index today outperformed the benchmark index as it is now trading with a gain of more than 7%. Further the Metal, Consumer Durables, Power and Capital Goods stocks are also in demand today.

The BSE Sensex is now trading near the 13,800 mark and the NSE Nifty near the 4100 mark.

The overall market breadth is positive as 1825 stocks are advancing while 642 stocks are declining in BSE.

DLF reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack, as it is trading up by (9.95%) at Rs. 296.10 followed by Reliance Infra trading up by (8.44%) at Rs. 1,048.20.

The BSE Sensex is trading up by 383.52 points at 13,783.84 and the NSE Nifty is trading higher by 121.90 points at 4,095.95.

The BSE Mid Cap increased by 173.75 points to 4,758.36 and the BSE Small Cap grew by 200.93 points to 5,258.63.

The Realty index is trading with gains of 209.61 points or 7.65% at 2,947.96. Gainers from this pack are Ackruti City trading up by 13.10% at Rs454.95 along with DLF by 9.95% at Rs296.10, HDIL by 8.25% at Rs205.40, Ansal Infra by 8.08% at Rs47.50, Parsvnath by 7.77% at Rs78.40, Indiabull Real by 7.27% at Rs188.90, Unitech by 6.69% at Rs69.35, Mahindra Life by 6.30% at Rs241.30, Omaxe by 5.10% at Rs79.30, Orbitco by 4.97% at Rs129.85 and Penland by 4.67% at Rs56.

The Metal index is trading higher by 465.69 points or 4.78% at 10,201.37. Scrips trading in green are JSW Steel by 8.86% at Rs527, SAIL by 7.43% at Rs151.10, Ispat Inds by 6.02% at Rs17.60, Sesa Goa by 5.57% at Rs193.25, Welspun Guj SR by 5.56% at Rs184.20, Tata Steel by 5.55% at Rs357.70, Hind Zinc by 5.12% at Rs574, Jai Corp by 4.99% at Rs200.05 and Gujarat NRE Coke by 4.60% at Rs37.50.

The most active shares on NSE are Unitech trading at Rs. 69.30 with a total traded quantity of 39980052 shares followed by Suzlon Energy trading at Rs. 87 with a total traded quantity of 36956043 shares.

ABB Limited is trading up by 2.39% at Rs675. The company has won orders worth Rs. 1410 million from Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (M5ETCL) for substations to help improve the efficiency and reliability of the state''''s network.

On the global markets front, the European markets are now trading higher as the FTSE 100 and DAX index are trading up by (0.76%) and (0.89%) respectively.
