The markets managed to recover all of its early losses and are now trading around the unchanged mark. The significant amount of buying witnessed among the Oil & Gas, Power and IT stocks. However, Metal, Consumer Durables, Banking and Realty stocks are still trading under pressure.
The BSE Sensex is now trading below the 14300 mark while the NSE Nifty above the 4240 mark.
The overall market breadth is negative as 827 stocks are advancing while 1640 stocks are declining in BSE.
Grasim Industries reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack, as it is trading up by (3.30%) at Rs. 2,211 while ICICI Bank reported the top loser trading down by (4.50%) at Rs. 694.20.
The BSE Sensex is trading down by 36.98 points at 14,289.24 and the NSE Nifty is trading marginally higher by 3.45 points or (1.63%) at 4,238.70.
The BSE Mid Cap decreased by 27.18 points or (0.55%) to 4,903.33 and the BSE Small Cap fell by 59.22 points or (1.06%) to 5,540.35.
The Consumer Durables index is trading lower by 87.25 points or 3.08% at 2,742.01. Losers from this pack are Gitanjali GE trading down by 5.86% at Rs103.55 along with Titan Inds by 4.24% at Rs1105.65, Rajesh Exports by 2.98% at Rs43.95, Videocon Inds by 1.73% at Rs164.55 and Blue Star Limited by 1.29% at Rs298.15.
