After a weak opening, the major Indian bourses are trading with negative sentiments around the corner mainly due to weak global cues. Going ahead, lack of news in the domestic arena turned investors a bit cautious to take a fresh position. On a stock specific news, Dr. Reddy’s is trading higher by 3% after an announcement that company has entered into a partnership with Glaxo Smith Kline to develop and market selected products across emerging markets outside India.
During the last hours'' trading session, selling pressure has emerged across Auto, Metal and Oil & Gas stocks whereas moderate buying interest seen across Power, Healthcare and Capital Goods counters.
Among the BSE sectoral indices, Auto, Metal and Oil & Gas stocks declined by 1.29%, 1.26% and 1.07% respectively, while the Power, Healthcare and Capital Goods indices surged by 1%, 0.74% and 0.63% respectively.
Overall the market breadth is negative as 1,183 stocks are trading in red while 939 stocks are in green.
The BSE Sensex is trading with marginal gains of 36.8 points at 14,912.33 while NSE Nifty up by 7.55 points at 4,491.55.
Besides, the BSE Mid Cap and Small Cap are trading higher by 55.95 points and 35.03 points at 5,169.15 and 5,920.8 respectively.
Gainers from the BSE Sensex Pack are Reliance Infrastructure up by (5.93%) to Rs. 1,266, along with SBI by (4.14%) to Rs. 1,710, Tata Power by (2.87%) at Rs. 1,171.85, Reliance Communication by (2.18%) at Rs. 326.25, ITC Limited by (1.95%) at Rs. 201.15 and Jai prakash associate by (1.74%) at Rs. 213.95.
Gainers from the NSE Nifty Pack are Reliance Infrastructure surged by (6.39%) at Rs. 1,273.4 along with SBI by (4.27%) at Rs. 1,712.05, PNB by (2.88%) at Rs. 629, Reliance Capital by (2.64%) at Rs. 962.25, Reliance Communication by (2.34%) at Rs. 326.5 and Tata Power by (2.29%) at Rs. 1,166.65.
BSE Auto is trading down by (1.29%) or 61.86 points at 4,732.85. The major losers are Hero Honda Motors declined by (1.97%) at Rs. 1,403.9 along with Exide industries by (1.49%) at Rs. 69.45, Maruti Suzuki by (1.36%) at Rs. 1,049.9, Bosch Limited by (1.09%) at Rs. 3,330 followed by Bajaj auto by (1%) at Rs. 987.95.
BSE Power is trading higher by (1%) or 29.42 points at 2,964.7. The top gainers in the index are Reliance Infrastructure surged by (5.93%) to Rs.1,266 along with Lanco Infra by (3.61%) to Rs. 374.7, Neyveli Lig by (2.40%) to Rs. 125.80, followed by GVK Power by (2.31%) to Rs. 39.85.
