After a smart recovery from its yesterday''s losses, the benchmark indices surprisingly turned choppy taking cues from most of the negative turned Asian Markets despite anticipation of a new stimulus package from the Japanese government. The domestic traders remained cautious amidst negative sentiments across US market and apprehensions over European bank rescues plan, which increased concerns over the health of the financial systems. On a stock specific moves, Jet Airways dipped by over 5% after Sahara India Commercial Corporation moved an application in the Bombay High Court for executing the award of the arbitrator in the arbitration relating to take over of Sahara Airlines. During the last hour, the buying interest has emerged across Health care (HC), Capital Goods (CG) and Oil & Gas stocks, whereas selling pressure has seen over Banking, Consumer Durable (CD) and Metal counters. Among the sectoral indices, the BSE HC and CG indices are up by 1.52% and 1.34% respectively, while BSE Bankex and CD indices down by 3.47% and 0.23% respectively. Overall the market breadth is positive as 887 stocks are trading in green while 794 stocks are in red.
At 11.30 AM, the BSE Sensex marginal up by 43.5 points at 9,611.64 while NSE Nifty surged by 24.9 points at 3,003.05. Besides, the BSE Mid Cap and Small Cap trading higher by 21.84 points at 2, 912.43, and 12.54 points at 3,216.6 respectively.

BSE HC is trading up by (1.52%) or 41.68 points at 2,760.23. The top gainers in the index are Wcokhardt Ltd surged by (6.64%) to Rs. 85.10 along with Opto Circuits by (6.26%) to Rs. 101.80, Piramal Healthcare by (4.08%) to Rs. 188.85, Cipla Ltd by (2.59%) to Rs. 222.20, followed by Sunpha Adv by (2.45%) at Rs. 46.
BSE Bankex is trading lower by (3.47%) or 153.23 points at 4,261.24. The major losers are Oriental BK down by (4.06%) at Rs. 108.65 along with Union Bank Ltd by (3.87%) at Rs. 136.65, ICICI Bank Ltd by (3.77%) at Rs. 325.20, IDBI Ltd by (3.68%) at Rs. 44.55 followed by Bank of India by (3.53%) at Rs. 213.30.
