The markets have shown strong resilience towards the Mumbai attack, as the bench market indices are hovering around the dotted line. The markets have broken the myth of steep fall after any sever attack. However, the markets are trading volatile due to cautious behavior over the November month derivative settlement and quarterly GDP numbers.
The Foreign Investors will keep a close eye on the GDP numbers, as to decide on the pattern of Investment in near future. The markets are expected to trade flattish over the day. The index heavyweight like Capital Goods, Metal, Realty and Bankex are trading in negative zone. The market breath is favoring decline, as 855 stocks are trading in red and about 560 stocks in green on the broader BSE.
At 11.30 AM, the BSE Sensex is losing by 3.46 points at 9023.26 whereas NSE Nifty down by 7.75 points at 2744.50. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap are trading lower by 27.26 points and 11.17 points at 2850.11 and 3303.72 respectively.
Losers from the NSE Nifty Pack are Unitech Ltd down by (6.70%) at Rs.24.35 along with Zee Entertainment by (5.78%) at Rs.107.65, Reliance Energy by (4.44%) at Rs.496.65, Sin Pharma by (4.24%) at Rs.1,056.95 and Tata motors by (4.13%) at Rs. 134.60.
Losers from the BSE Sensex Pack are Reliance energy down by (4.37%) at Rs.496.80 along with Tata motors by (3.61%) at Rs.134.70, Tata steel ltd by (2.52%) at Rs.151.00, Jaiprakash Asso by (2.47%) at Rs.55.25 and L&T by (2.47%) at Rs.732.00.
BSE Capital Goods is losing by 99.28 points at 6,305.98. The major losers are Kalpat Pow trading down by (4.74%) at Rs.308.40, ABB Ltd by (4.14%) at Rs.427.50, Crompton Greaves by (2.84%) at Rs.116.40, Elecon Eng by (2.79%) to Rs.36.90, followed by L&T by (2.28%) to Rs.733.40.
BSE Metal is trading lower by 47.33 points at 4,373.12. The top losers in the index are NALCO decreased by (4.12%) to Rs.180.35, Welspun Gujarat SR down by (4.58%) to Rs.83.35, Tata Steel by (2.29%) to Rs.151.35 followed by SAIL by (1.75%) at Rs.67.45 and Ispat Ind by (1.47%) to Rs.10.04.
