Also, better than expected number of GDP that grew 7.6% in September quarter as against 7.9% reported in the previous quarter also gives a further boost to the investors sentiments. From the sectoral front, IT stocks are witnessing some buying interest while Realty index is the worst hit that fall by 3.04%.
On the global market front, the European Markets are trading in positive as Dax Index is trading up by 0.57% and FTSE 100 up by 0.58%.
The broader markets are trading weak as the BSE Mid Cap and Small Cap are trading with losses of 16.78 points or (0.58%) and 21.18 points or (0.64%) at 2,860.60 and 3,293.71 respectively.
The overall market breadth is negative as 1122 stocks are declining while 755 stocks are advancing in BSE.
TCS reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading up by (5.69%) at Rs.557 while JP Associates reported as the top loser trading down by 4.41% at Rs.54.15.
At 2.36PM BSE Sensex is at 9,136.05 up by 109.33 points and NSE Nifty is at 2,768.55 up by 16.3 points.
The BSE IT index is trading with gains of 75.67 points or (3.07%) at 2,544.12. Pushing it are Patni Comp trading higher by 7.75% at Rs134.80 along with TCS trading up by 5.42% at Rs 555.55, Oracle Finance by 5.16% at Rs 467, Infosys by 3.68% at Rs1231, NIIT Ltd by 2.89% at Rs23.15, Tech Mahindra by 1.71% at Rs226, Mphasisby 1.52% at Rs153.80.
The most active shares on NSE are Unitech trading at Rs.22.70 with a total traded quantity of 44491068 shares followed by Suzlon Energy trading at Rs.41.95 with a total traded quantity of 21265646 shares.
