The repels of US markets and Asian markets continued to dominate on the Indian bourses. Further, global economic slowdown have cut down earning prospects for an array of companies and hence forcing investors to look safer government bonds. In addition to this, heavy sell-off is seen in this market as investors are not expecting much from credit policy review but it might give some sagacity of how things are. Sensex and Nifty breached 9300 level and 2800 level respectively and trading low.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks all 30 are trading in red and in Nifty 50 stocks all 50 are trading in red. BSE Sensex is trading down by 5.3% and NSE Nifty down by 5.8%. The negative pressures were seen across the sectors. Selling pressure has emerged mainly in Metal, Capital goods, Oil & Gas and Bank stocks. The market breadth is negative as 1710 stocks are trading in red while 419 stocks are in green.
At 11.32AM, BSE Sensex is trading lower by 518 points at 9253.1 and NSE Nifty is trading down by 172 at 2770.3. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap are trading lesser by 136 points and 130 points at 3241.94 and 3834.87 respectively.
Losers from the NSE Nifty are Suzlon Energy down by (20.41%) at Rs.62.00 along with National Aluminium Company (18.77%) at Rs.166.80, Hindalco (18.21%) at Rs.42.90, Unitech (15.10%) at Rs.52.30, and IDEA (10.42%) at Rs.36.95.
Losers from the BSE Sensex are Hindalco down by (18.20%) at Rs.43.15 along with Sterlite In (8.87%) at Rs.223.55, Tata Motors (7.69%) at Rs.180, Mahindra & Mahindra (7.42%) at Rs.316.90, Housing Development Finance (7.29%) at Rs.1630.00 and Ranbaxy Laboratories (7.02%) at Rs.213.80.
The BSE Metal index is trading lower by 395.38 points at 4601.54 as Hindalco down by (18.20%) at Rs.43.15, along with NALCO (16.28%) at Rs.173.25, Sterlite Industries is trading down by (10.01%) at Rs.220.75, Tata Steel (6.98%) at Rs.193.90 and Hindustan Zinc by (6.89%) at Rs.246.50.

Scrips trading lower are Suzlon Energy (20.77%) at Rs.61.60 followed by Havells India by (9.05%) at Rs.198.50, Kalpat Power & Transmission (7.85%) at Rs.592.20, Praj Industries (7.62%) at Rs.66.70, and Bharat Bijli by (6.45%) at Rs.768.00.
