Sharp rally in the European market has added confidence in the domestic market. On an average the European markets are trading at 6% higher on the back of positive banking revival moves taking place. The policy makers are having sleepless nights and trying all possibilities to bring confidence back. The benchmark indices are trading above the 11300 mark gaining more then 800 points. The Capital Goods, Bankex and Metal index continued to trade high with 761.85 points, 585.44 points and 501.25 points respectively. The PSU, IT, Oil & Gas, Realty and Teck stocks are also in positive territory today.
The European Markets also opened positive as the FTSE 100 and Dax Index are up by over 6.25% and 7.08% respectively.
The BSE Sensex is now trading above the 11300 mark and the NSE Nifty above the 3400 mark
The BSE Mid Cap and the BSE Small Cap are also climbed and are trading with a gain of more than 7.22% and 6.21% respectively.
The overall market breadth is positive as 1650 stocks are advancing while 923 stocks are declining in BSE.
ICICI bank reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex as well as NSE nifty pack. It is trading higher by (17.70%) at Rs.428.55 in BSE and by (17.42%) at Rs.427.00 in NSE.
At 2.38 PM BSE Sensex is at 11288 up by 760.49 points and Nifty is at 3474.55 up by 194 points.
The BSE Mid Cap is higher by 141 points at 3817.76 and BSE Small Cap gaining by 148 points to 4504.23.
The BSE Capital Goods index is the one of the top gainer today trading with a gain of 774.03 points at 8,757.07.
The main gainers are Suzlon Energy up by (14.31%) at Rs107.05, Crompton Greaves increased by (11.74%) at Rs.207 followed by L7T Ltd and Punj Lloyd inclined by (11.57%) and (9.98%) to Rs.992 and Rs.212.1 respectively.
The most active shares on NSE are ICICI Bank trading at Rs.429.1 with a total traded quantity of 25815921 shares followed by Reliance Industries trading at Rs.1,574.05 with a total traded quantity of 3327179 shares.
