The markets today open significantly higher the crude oil cools off a bit and touched a low to $110 barrel mark yesterday. The buying support is seen among the Banking, Realty, Capital Goods, Power, Auto and Oil & Gas stocks. However the pharma stocks slipped a bit in the opening trade. The BSE Sensex has surpassed the 14600 mark and the NSE Nifty hovering near the 4400 mark in the early trade. The BSE Mid Cap and the BSE Small Cap are also trading higher with a gain of more than 0.5% each.
The overall market breadth is positive as 1095 stocks are advancing whereas 432 stocks are declining on BSE.
State Bank of India reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack, as it is trading with a gain of (2.68%) at Rs.1,454 while Ranbaxy Laboratories reported the top loser down by (6.16%) at Rs.469.
At 10.30AM, the BSE Sensex was up by 136.04 points at 14,634.55 and the Nifty was up by 37.15 points to 4,385.80.
The BSE Mid Cap increased by 47.79 points to 5,789.77 and the BSE Small Cap advanced by 42.90 points to 6,934.29.
BSE Bank index surged by 106.74 points to trade at 7,128.09. The major gainers are Kotak Bank, SBI, Union Bank and Bank of India grew by (3.30%), (2.54%), (2.52%) and (2.24%) to Rs.612.75, Rs.1,452, Rs.148.75 and Rs.278.50 respectively.
BSE Realty index advanced by 74.70 points to trade at 5,074.68. The top gainers are India Bull Real increased by (2.59%) to Rs.301.60, Sobha Dvelopers up by (2.23%) to Rs.270.25, Unitech inclined by (2.02%) to Rs.161.50 followed by HDIL grew by (1.68%) to Rs.284.95.
