Market is trading weak after a negative opening as markets across the globe are exhibiting weakness. BSE Sensex is trading below 14,600 level and NSE Nifty is below 4,400 mark. All sectoral indices are trading in the negative and among that Metal, Capital Goods, Bank and Auto stocks are major sufferers of the investors’ negative attitude. The market breadth is negative as 829 stocks are trading in green while 1336 stocks are trading in red.
At 11.31AM, BSE Sensex is trading lower by 110.29 points at 14,535.37 and NSE Nifty is trading down 29.30 at 4,363.75. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap are trading lower by 29.60 points and 33.17 points at 5,752.20 and 7,003.44.
Lossers from the NSE Nifty are AMruti Suzuki down by (5.01%) at Rs608.00 along with Idea Cellular (3.13%) at Rs83.50, Gail India (2.79%) at Rs382.90, Sterlite Indus (2.40%) at Rs594.80, Satyam Computer (2.35%) at Rs408.90 and ACC Ltd by (2.34%) at Rs91.90.
The Metal index is trading lower by 116.63 points at Rs12,247.54 as Sterlite In is trading down by (2.42%) at Rs596.55 along with Jai Corp Ltd (2.29%) at Rs358.15, Ispat Industries (1.95%) at Rs25.20, NMDC Ltd (1.73%) at Rs340.20 and JSW SL by (1.69%) at Rs758.05.
The Capital goods index is trading lower by 65.75 points at Rs12,022.82 as Kalpat Pow is trading down by (2.20%) at Rs806.05 along with Everest Kanto (1.96%) at Rs305.85, Thermax Ltd by (1.95%) at Rs481.00, BEML Ltd (1.67%) at Rs714.00 and Areva (1.66%) at Rs1,627.00.
The Bank index is trading down by 60.69 points at Rs6,824.68. Scrips trading lower are Union Bank by (2.87%) at Rs130.50 along with Kotak Bank (2.79%) at Rs582.90, OBC (2.25%) at Rs156.10, Punjab National Bank by (1.90%) at Rs459.00 and Canara Bank by (1.82%) at Rs204.50.
