The market continues to trade in extremely negative zone as witnessing heavy selling pressure. The market opened on back foot today after yesterday''s strong bounce as weak global cues and concern for in crude oil prices exerted pressure on bourses. All the sectoral indexes are declining and market breadth is extremely negative. Metal, Capital Goods and Reality stocks are major lossers. Reality index slipped over 9% and Metal over 8%. Among the Sensex pack, only 1 stock is trading in green while 29 stocks are in red.
At 1.32PM, the BSE Sensex is trading lower by 653.97 points at 13,010.64 and NSE Nifty is down by 194.95 points at 3,898.4.
The BSE Mid Cap and Small Cap are trading lower by 193.21 points and 193.47 points at 5,118.09 and 6,313.88 respectively.
Lossers from the BSE are DLF Ltd down by (11.31%) at Rs375.05 followed by Reliance Infra by (10.44%) at Rs695.00, Tata Steel by (10.27%) at Rs660.00, ICICI Bank Ltd by (10.14%) at Rs555.55, Ambuja Cement by (7.47%) at Rs69.90, HDFC (693%) at Rs1,865.00 and HDFC Bank Ltd by (6.91%) at Rs950.00.
The Metal index is trading down by 1,126.80 points at Rs12,112.22 as Jujarat Nre C is trading lower by (14.03%) at Rs107.25 along with Tata Steel (10.35%) at Rs664.50, Jindal Steel (10.21%) at Rs1,660.20, Steel Authority by (9.69%) at Rs128.15 and Sterlite In by (9.12%) at Rs650.00.
The Reality index is trading down by 500.76 points at Rs4,230.43 as Indiabulls Real is trading lower by (15.43%) at Rs242.05 along with Housing Development (12.86%) at Rs351.10, DLF Ltd (11.07%) at Rs377.00, Unitech Ltd by (10.70%) at Rs152.80 and Sobha Dev by (9.93%) at Rs249.90.
The Capital goods index is trading down by 460.34 points at Rs9,857.80 as Punj Lloyd is trading lower by (10.41%) at Rs194.10 along with Praj Indus (8.71%) at Rs155.20, Suzlon Energy (8.30%) at Rs182.90, Thermax Ltd (6.79%) at Rs341.00 and Elecon Eng C by (5.90%) at Rs82.95.
The Bank index is trading down by 385.69 points at Rs5,533.94 as Karnataka Bank is trading lower by (12.50%) at Rs121.10 along with Kotak Bank (10.87%) at Rs429.90, Axis bank (10.80%) at Rs567.20, ICICI Bank Ltd (9.24%) at Rs565.45 and Yes Bank by (7.06%) at Rs105.30.
From the telecommunication sector, Tata Communications is trading lower by (8.01%) at Rs353.30 followed by Reliance Communications by (5.92%) at Rs392.25, Idea Cellular by (4.91%) at Rs89.00 and Bharti Airtel is trading lower by (4.90%) at Rs705.90.
In auto sector M&M Ltd is trading lower by (5.06%) at Rs448.50 along with Tata Motors down by (4.74%) at Rs393.65, Maruti Suzuki lower by (4.09%) at Rs555.50 and Hero Honda Motors by (0.39%) at Rs677.70.
In cement sector Ambuja Cement is trading down by (6.94%) at Rs70.45 along with Grasim trading down by (5.06%) at Rs448.50 and ACC Ltd by (4.20%) at Rs480.00.
SBI is trading up by (1.75%) at Rs1,081.00. The bank has created a milestone by straight away opening 101 Branches all over the country. The Branches were inaugurated online by the Union Finance Minister, Shri P. Chidambaram. Along with this bank is planning to introduce mobile banking application in India with UBI and Bank of India. Plan is in final stage and may be rolled out in next month, according to SBI.
