The market is choppy in the opening trade but suddenly gain some ground as significant buying is seen in the Realty, Capital Goods and Power stocks. However, the Metal and FMCG stocks are reeling under pressure in the opening trade.
The overall market breadth is negative as 829 stocks are advancing whereas 863 stocks are declining on BSE.
Jai Prakash Associate reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack, as it is trading with a gain of (7.83%) at Rs.149.40 while Tata Steel the top loser down by (1.51%) at Rs.647.50.
At 10.30AM, the BSE Sensex was up by 124.45 points at 13,218.56 and the Nifty was up by 26.70 points to 3,952.45.
The BSE Mid Cap increased by 29.11 points to 5,190.87 and the BSE Small Cap advanced by 7.20 points to 6,356.37.
BSE Realty index advanced by 71.03 points to trade at 4,366.25. The top gainers are Ansal Infrastructure increased by (4.79%) to Rs.79.80, Unitech increased by (2.60%) to Rs.158, HDIL inclined by (2.19%) to Rs373.20 followed by DLF up by (2.06%) to Rs.389.70.
BSE Power index improved by 28.50 points to trade at 2,202.13. The major gainers are Reliance Infra., GVK Power, NTPC and Suzlon Energy grew by (2.56%), (1.98%), (1.11%) and (1.09%) to Rs.740, Rs.30.95, Rs.154.25 and Rs.181 respectively.
Siemens is trading higher by (2.49%) at Rs.394.95. The company is planning to enter into a new business segment in the country The company may soon set up a facility to manufacture coaches for trains and metros in India.
Cipla advanced by (0.57%) to Rs.212.55. The company has received FDA approval for its HIV treatment zidovudine oral solution 50mg/5mL, a generic version of GlaxoSmithKline’s Retrovir..
