The Market Gains Further Grounds As Strong Buying - July 9, 2008

The market gains further grounds as strong buying continue across the board. The sustained buying support is seen in the Realty, Power, Bank and FMCG stocks. All the sectorial indices are trading in green. The BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty both are trading up by more than 4%.

The overall market breadth is positive, as 2059 stocks are advancing whereas 509 stocks that are declining.

Reliance Infra. reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack. It is trading higher by (11.26%) at Rs.839.95 followed by Jai Prakash Associate up by (10.95%) at Rs.174.80.

At 2.31PM BSE Sensex is at 13,921.15 up by 571.86 points and Nifty is at 4,152.70 up by 164.15 points.

The BSE Mid Cap is higher by 150.25 points to 5,466.24 and the Small Cap advanced by 206.27 points to 6,768.89.

The BSE Realty index is the top gainer today trading with a gain of 277.40 points at 4,898.38. The main gainers are Omaxe Ltd. up by (7.32%) at Rs.134.15, HDIL increased by (7.89%) at Rs.452 followed by Indiabull Real and Unitech inclined by (6.83%) and (6.22%) to Rs.284.60 and Rs.171.50 respectively.

The most active shares on NSE are Reliance trading at Rs.2068 with a total traded quantity of 2716191 shares followed by Reliance Infra. trading at Rs.840.30 with a total traded quantity of 4517902 shares.
