The market tumbles after recovering in the mid session due to heavy selling pressures across the sectoral indices. Among the Sensex pack, 21 stocks are trading in red while 9 stocks are trading in green.
At 1.31PM, the BSE Sensex is trading lower by 120.87 points at 17,252.13 and NSE Nifty is trading down by 39.85 points at 5,104.80.
The BSE Mid Cap and Small Cap are trading lower by 49.91 points and 30.10 points at 7,180.40 and 8,719.14 respectively.
Gainers from the BSE are Cairn India trading up by (6.37%) at Rs275.60 along with Spice Telecom by (3.94%) at Rs44.90, Glenmark Pharma by (3.79%) at Rs668, Aban Offshore by (3.27%) at Rs3588, TCS by (3.23%) at Rs968.10, RCF by (2.83%) at Rs76.30, Indian Bank by (2.67%) at Rs153.80 and Indian Hotels by (2.55%) at Rs116.50.
The IT index is trading up by 48.80 points at 4,432.16. Pushing it are TCS trading up by (2.92%) at Rs965.20 along with Tech Mahindra by (1.79%) at Rs960.30, Aptech by (1.64%) at Rs251.10, Niit Techno by (1.75%) at Rs148.25, Mosear Baer by (0.51%) at Rs177.40 and Patni Computers by (0.22%) at Rs271.70.
From the Consumer Durables index, Videocon industries trading down by (2.88%) at Rs352.15 in line with Titan inds by (2.02%) at Rs1149.50, Rajesh Exports by (1.18%) at Rs96.30, Blue Star by (1.07%) at Rs445.30 and Gitanjali GE by (0.78%) at Rs272.90.
