The market losses further grounds as the selling pressures prevails across the counters. The Asian market is trading on the back foot that led the domestic market to take cautious approach. The market breadth is strong as 1133 stocks are trading in green while 1060 stocks are trading in red.
At 11.33AM, BSE Sensex is trading lower by 145 points at 15,688 and NSE Nifty is trading down by 23.15 points at 4,748.45. The BSE Mid Cap is trading lower by 5.65 points at 6,381.58 while the BSE Small cap is trading marginally up by 9.49 points at 7,849.8.
Losers from the BSE are Kotak bank trading lower by 4.68% at Rs615.60 along with Zee entertainment by 4.35% at Rs241, Spice Telecom by 3.85% at Rs33.70, Crompton Greaves by 3.73% at Rs347.80, L&T by 3.58% at Rs2748, Jai Corp by 3.10% at Rs483.85 and Edelweissis by 2.87% at Rs772.10
The Metal index is trading higher by 113.59 points at 13,702.35. Pushing it are Gujarat NRE trading up by 3.30% at Rs144 along with Tata Steel by 2.06% at Rs673.20, SH. Precoated by 1.85% at Rs187.30, Ispat industries by 1.85% at Rs30.30, JSW Steel by 1.51% at Rs784, Welspun Gujarat by 1.50% at Rs388.25, Jindal Stainless by 1.48% at Rs140.20 and Sterlite industries by 0.95% at Rs725.50.
The Bankex index is trading lower by 111.48 points at 7,709.14. Pulling it are Kotak bank trading down by 4.68% at Rs615.60 in line with Axis bank by 2.79% at Rs724.75, CentBOP by 2.63% at Rs42.55, HDFC bank by 2.47% at Rs1293.65, Oriental bank by 1.56% at Rs176.95, PNB by 1.32% at Rs495.25 and Canara bank by 1.04% at Rs222.65.
Ranbaxy laboratories is trading higher by (6.05%) at Rs473 as the company launched Bonista-Teriparatide injection for the treatment of Osteoporosis in collaboration with Virchow Boitech in Hyderabad. The company is the first company to launch this bio generic product in the World.
Tata Steel is trading up by (1.82%) at Rs672. The company has decided to cut the prices of long steel products including that of construction-grade TMT bars by Rs2000 per tonne and this cut will be implemented immediately. This cut in steel prices is a part of the package by the Steel minister along with steel producers with an aim to provide relief to the common man.
