Market Is Trading With Heavy Losses

The market is trading in a deep negative territory backed by weak cues from the global markets. This led to the heavy selling across the sectoral indices. The market breadth is very weak as 2205 stocks are trading in red while 184 stocks are trading in green.

At 11.32AM, BSE Sensex is trading lower by 513 points at 15,463 and NSE Nifty is trading down by 117.95 points at 4,653.65.

The market will remain closed from 11:45 IST to 12:25 IST due to sun outage. Trading time has been extended till 16:15 IST.

Leading the rally of losers from BSE are Maytas Infra trading down by (14.48%)at Rs510 in line with GMDC by (13.73%) at Rs306.75, Videocon by (12.33%) at Rs308, Indbull Real by (11.97%) at Rs454, Triveni Eng by (11.74%) at Rs101.90, Reliance Energy by (11.41%) at Rs1125.10 and Adlabs films by (11.34%) at Rs539.

The bankex index is trading lower by 350.79 points at 8,126.67. Pulling it are BOI trading down by (7.26%) at Rs251.60 in line with BOB by (6.42%) at Rs280, Yes bank by (5.86%) at Rs169.40, Union bank by (5.72%) at Rs134.25, Allahabad bank by (5.71%) at Rs89.20, Kotak bank by (5.31%) at Rs597.50.

The Realty index is trading down by 478.59 points at 7,303.79 as Purvankara is trading lower by (13.90%) at Rs236 in line with Indbul Real by (11.59%) at Rs456, Anant Raj inds by (10.16%) at Rs218.50, HDIL by (9.94%) at 557, Mahindralife by (9.72%) at Rs428.

Cairn India is trading higher by (0.48%) at Rs210 as the company has bid on oil and exploration blocks 001 and 002 in Sri Lanka under the ongoing Sri Lankan Licensing round and said it will undertake exploratory drilling in new areas in Rajasthan.

Mahindra and Mahindra is trading up by (1.35%) at Rs676 as the company will spend Rs2250 crore in the next two years to develop new vehicles that will be rolled out by 2009. The company has been developing four new platforms in the utility and multi-purpose vehicle space to further strengthen its presence in the non-car segment.
