Market Is Trading Firm

The market is trading higher but gives up some of its initial gains. The market gets a boost backed the strong move by the US Federal Reserve to lend up to $200bn in treasury securities. The market breadth is very strong as 1911 stocks are trading in green while 510 stocks are trading in red.

At 11.34AM, BSE Sensex is trading higher by 342 points at 16,465 and NSE Nifty is trading up by 84.1 points at 4,950.

Rural Electrification Ltd, which gets listed today at a premium of 19.04% against the issue price of Rs105. Now it is trading at Rs121.20.

Major Gainers from the BSE Indiabulls trading up by (11.75%) at Rs599.80 along with Unitech by (10.71%) at Rs312.20, Indbull Real by (9.25%) at Rs571, MMTC by (8.48%) at Rs23,624, HMT by (7.90%) at Rs84 and HDIL by (7.69%) at Rs732.

The Oil and Gas is trading higher by 267.33 point at 10,828.27. Pushing it are RNRL trading up by (5.74%) at Rs122.60 in line with Reliance Inds by (3.04%) at Rs2418, Aban Offshore by (2.79%) at Rs2700, Cairn India by (2.27%) at Rs236.65, Essar Oil by (2.13%) at Rs249.

The Power index is trading up by 80.27 points at 3,351.79 as GVK Power is trading higher by (3.36%) at Rs44.55 in line with Bhel by (3.23%) at Rs2057.15, Tata Power by (3.14%) at Rs1224.95, ABB by (3.04%) at Rs1150.05

Unitech is trading higher by (10.6%) at Rs313 as the company is hopeful of roping in a strategic partner for its telecom business within the next two months and it is in talks with three-four global telecom companies.

HDFC bank is trading up by (6%) at Rs1413 as the company is planning to strengthen its global presence and is looking at countries like Canada and Singapore. The bank has already applied for licenses in Bahrain and Hong Kong.

Ranbaxy Laboratories is trading higher by (3.53%) at Rs469 as the government has endorsed the pharma price regulator''s decision to fix the price of the company''s key antibiotic brand Roscillin.
