BANGALORE (Reuters) - Indian shares opened up 0.44 percent on Wednesday, led by gains in Reliance Industries Ltd, and early trade was choppy on lack of cues from Asia where several markets are still closed for Christmas holidays.
At 9:59 a.m., the 30-share BSE index was up 0.49 percent, or 96.49 points, at 19,950.61, after having risen to a high of 20,036.
The 50-issue NSE index was up 0.23 percent at 5,998.75.
