L&T bags Rs 267 cr orders from IOC, China’s Liaoning

MUMBAI: Larsen & Toubro Ltd has secured two contracts together valued at Rs 267 crore from Indian Oil Corporation and Liaoning Huajin Chemical Corporation, China, for their capacity expansion. The orders will be executed by L&T's heavy engineering division.

The IOC order is for coke drums of foster wheeler design, for the residual upgradation & MS/HSD improvement project at Gujarat.

The contract from Huajin is for design, manufacture and supply of two ethylene oxide reactors.

“We are expanding our facility at Hazira in Gujarat. Currently, our exports account for 68 per cent of the division's turnover,” MV Kotwal, senior executive vice president, heavy engineering division, L&T, was quoted as saying in a release.

At 2:39 pm on BSE, L&T shares were at Rs 2,629, up 1.62 per cent from Monday’s close.
