Mumbai, Sep 01: Engineering and construction company Gammon India would be investing upto Rs 400 crore in developing 35 budget hotels in the country under Wyndham brand.
Gammon has tied up with US-based Wyndham Hotel Group International to develop these hotels, Gammon spokesperson Parvez Umrigar said.
The Rs 400 crore would be raised through a mix of debt and equity.
"Of the Rs 400 crore, our investment would be significant," he said. Wyndham would be contributing in terms of brand name and marketing support.
The hotels would be commissioned in four years time and it would be "spread through out" the country.
"We have identified locations for 6-7 hotels," he said, but refused to identify the places.
